Are there any negative side effects of Botox?

Botox is a very safe injectable medication, which is used to temporarily paralyze facial muscles and thus reduce wrinkles.

Side Effects are the following:
Bruising at the site of injection
When injecting around the eye there is approx a 1% chance that the botox could weaken a muscle that raises the eyelid.  This would result in the eyelid not elevating completely (called Ptosis).  It would be treated by putting drops in the affected eye twice a day.  The problem subsides in about 3 months.

I've had some experience with botox.  The biggest "adverse" reaction or side effect of Botox is some asymetry in the forehead or brows.  This is generally not due to the injection, but rather underlying asymetry that is amplified by the paralytic effect of botox.

Assuming I would go through multiple sessions of botox in a year, do you offer a yearly all-inclusive fee or would I pay per visit?

Generally people do schedule regular Botox appointments throughout the year.  It is difficult to have an all-inclusive yearly price for unlimited Botox, simply because as people use it regularly the botox effects may last longer than three months.  If that is the case, then the patient would actually be overpaying.  On the flip side, patient's wants and needs change as they become comfortable with Botox, meaning they often want higher doses of Botox.  These facts make it difficult to put a yearly price on Botox injections.  That being said, every patient provides a different set of circumstance and an all-inclusive price could be possible for say someone that needs very small amounts of Botox.

What about headaches?

I have heard that you can get a very strong headache than can last a few weeks after the botox injection.

I am creating an informational website for people interested in Botox injections (more specifically on botox side effects and alternatives) and would like to know if this is actually true.

Thanks,

Roboto

i had botox 6 weeks ago and i am still experiencing droopy eye brows. when will this go back to normal? or do i need medical help?

I suggest that you first speak with the physician who performed your Botox injection.  In general, the lowering of the brows that is caused by the Botox injection can take up to three months to resolve.  Typically, you can have additional Botox injected in the interim to allow the brows to elevate slightly.
