Eyes

By Lana

Im thinking about having my eyes done. Im 38 years old and dont think Im in need to have an eye lift but I would like to have a diff shape to my eyes. (The cat eye look) I want more of a slant to my appearance. Is this something you do? If so can you give me some info on the procedure and downtime with this surgery.

In general changing the shape of one's eye should be performed only after careful and detailed consultaion with a plastic surgeon.  It is possible to change the shape of one's eyes to 'slant' more upward but once performed it is very difficult to reverse.
Sometimes the shape change requested is referring to laxity of the lower lid which can often be misinterpreted as being sad and/or tired.  This can be corrected with a surgical procedure-tarsal strip.  The procedure generally takes about one hour and the recovery time is approx 1-2 weeks.
